These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the "Subscriber" or "You") and Us, and apply to all digital content services you subscribe to via the Novelhall Application (hereinafter referred to as the "APP"), including but not limited to unrestricted access to subscription-exclusive novels, priority access to updated chapters, and use of exclusive features such as offline download (collectively referred to as the "Subscription Service"). Before subscribing to the Service, you must confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your country/region), have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement, and agree to comply with the relevant laws and regulations of your country/region and all provisions of these Terms. Your subscription actions (including checking the box to confirm consent and completing payment) shall be deemed as your full reading, understanding, and acceptance of these Terms, and this Agreement shall take effect immediately upon such actions. The Subscription Service is provided globally (with priority coverage in Europe and North America). Service availability may vary slightly by region, and the specific details shall be subject to the display in the APP.
We currently offer two subscription plans. Prices include applicable taxes (e.g., VAT), and the specific details shall be subject to the real-time display in the APP:
All subscription plans enjoy the same core service benefits. There is no free trial period for the Service, and the Subscription Service will take effect immediately upon completion of payment. We reserve the right to adjust the content, functions, or benefits of subscription plans based on business needs. If any adjustment has a material adverse impact on existing subscribers, We will notify you in advance via APP push notifications, emails, or other means, and you may choose to continue using the Service or cancel your subscription.
You shall pay the subscription fee through the payment methods supported by the APP (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay). Upon completion of payment, you will obtain the right to use the Subscription Service for the corresponding cycle. All subscriptions have auto-renewal enabled by default, unless you cancel the auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription cycle. Before the subscription expires, We will automatically deduct the fee for the next cycle from your bound payment method. Upon successful deduction, the subscription period will be extended automatically. If applicable in your region, an authorization hold verification may be conducted on your payment method before payment. This verification does not result in actual charges and will be automatically released upon completion of verification. If the fee deduction fails due to insufficient balance in the payment method, expired card, or other reasons, you may be granted a grace period (the specific details shall be subject to the rules of the payment channel). If payment is not completed within the grace period, the Subscription Service will be suspended; if the issue remains unresolved after the grace period, the subscription will be terminated automatically, and no refund will be given for the unused subscription period. The subscription price may be adjusted based on market conditions. The new price will take effect upon your next renewal. We will notify you of the price adjustment at least 30 days in advance, and your continued renewal shall be deemed as your acceptance of the new price.
The cancellation process varies depending on the payment method and device system used for the subscription. Upon completion of the cancellation process, subscribers will receive a confirmation notice via in-app push notification and the email associated with their account (in accordance with the default notification preferences set in the account).
Open your device’s Settings → Tap Apple ID at the top of the screen → Navigate to the Subscriptions page → Locate your Novelhall subscription record → Select Cancel Subscription → Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the cancellation.
Open the Google Play Store → Tap the profile icon in the upper right corner → Navigate to the Payments & Subscriptions page → Select Subscriptions → Locate your Novelhall subscription → Tap Cancel Subscription.
Method 1 (Via PayPal Account): Log in to your PayPal account → Navigate to Settings → Select Payments → Tap Subscriptions and Saved Merchants → Locate the Novelhall subscription → Tap Cancel and confirm;
Method 2 (Via Card Issuer Channel): Log in to the online banking platform or mobile banking App of the issuing bank corresponding to your PayPal Card → Navigate to the Bills & Payments or Subscription Management module → Locate the Novelhall-related subscription auto-debit record → Initiate the subscription cancellation operation; or operate within the App: Go to My → Tap the Cancel Subscription Switch → Follow the instructions to complete the cancellation.
No refund will be given for the paid subscription fee, unless otherwise required by law or in case of unilateral termination of the Service by Us.
A proportional refund based on the unused subscription period may be provided only if the Subscription Service has a major and irreparable malfunction, or if We terminate the Service unilaterally. The specific refund amount will be determined by our review.
Refund applications must be submitted via your PayPal account, following this path: Activity → Locate the target transaction → Report a Problem → Submit the refund request.
You must register an account with true and valid information. The Subscription Service is only authorized for use by the account holder. Sharing, renting, or transferring the account to a third party is prohibited. If you violate this provision, We have the right to suspend or terminate your Subscription Service without refunding any paid fees. A single subscription account can be logged in on a maximum of 1 device at the same time. Devices exceeding this limit will not be able to access the subscription content. When logging in on a new device, you must log out of the original device first; otherwise, the new device will not be able to use the Service normally.
All intellectual property rights in the novel content provided by the Subscription Service (including text, covers, typesetting, etc.) belong to Us or the content licensors. You only obtain the right to access and read the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You are prohibited from copying, distributing, adapting, cracking, or extracting the subscription content in any form, and from using third-party tools to download or export the content. Any violation of this provision will constitute infringement, and We have the right to pursue your legal liability. Upon expiration or cancellation of the subscription, you will lose access to the subscription-exclusive content, and the offline content you have downloaded will no longer be readable. Please back up your personal reading records in a timely manner.
We may modify these Terms based on updates to laws and regulations or business adjustments. The modified Terms will be published in the APP. Your continued use of the Subscription Service after the publication of the modified Terms shall be deemed as your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you seriously violate these Terms (e.g., infringement, fraud, account sharing, etc.), We have the right to terminate your Subscription Service immediately without refunding any fees, and reserve the right to pursue your legal liability. We have the right to terminate the Subscription Service due to business adjustments, legal compliance requirements, or other reasons, provided that We notify you at least 30 days in advance. In such cases, We will provide reasonable compensation (e.g., a proportional refund) based on your unused subscription period.
We will process your personal information (e.g., account information, payment data, usage records) in accordance with the Novelhall Privacy Policy, and strictly comply with the requirements of major global data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) to protect the security and legitimate rights and interests of your information. You may learn about the detailed rules for the collection, use, storage, and sharing of your information through the Privacy Policy. You have the right to access, modify, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of data sales (if applicable). To exercise these rights, you may submit a request through the customer service channel within the APP. We will keep a complete record of your consent to these Terms and the Privacy Policy to ensure compliance with the audit and traceability requirements of data protection laws and regulations.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the country/region where you are located. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent court at the location of Our registered address for adjudication. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of the other provisions.
